This saxophone was made by Adoplhe Sax jr. around 1932.H.Selmer took over the rights and the production from Adolphe Sax in 1928 and Mr. Sax jr. made a parallel line of 1300 saxes in Selmerīs workshop during 1929 to 1933.Itīs similiar to Selmers "Super Sax" model with improvements at the little left finger and front F mechanism. Serial number is 1187 and under the low D key is stamped the Selmer serial number 12720. Tis sax is dent free and about 90% of itīs original laquer remained. There is a possibility of a microphone picup on the neck and comes with a non original case in average condition, pads are in good condition.The great dutch saxophone player and collector Leo van Oostrom plays such a tenor, too. His sax has the number 499.
