Subject: Buffet Crampon Information
Hello,

I saw that you added  information recently about Buffet Crampon saxophones. Since I know you like the history of the manufacturers, I can tell you the storie of my S1-Super Dynaction tenor sax.

Yes, you'll maybe tell me that there's no model with the two names, the explanation is that my example is an error of the history.

Buffet Crampon introduced the S1 model in 1973, but they still wrote Super Dynaction on the body (even if it was clearly a S1 model : the right and left hands holes are on the same line, that's not the case of the SDA for example). In 1977, they changed of European Commercial Director that saw the error and also asked to have the high F# key on all these saxes, since it was only optionnal before his arrival, and Selmer and other had it on all the saxes since some years yet.

So my sax is an error of the history : that's a S1 sax, with Super Dynaction wrote on it, without high F# and it is lacquered with silverplated keys (comon in Europe) ... but that's a great sax, ergonomicaly fantastic.

Here I join you three pictures of it.

Best Regards,

Marcel MUNOZ.
