What's offered in this auction is a King Super 21 Silver Sonic Alto Sax

Here's the story, as I understand it:

Back in the mid 90's, King started to work on a new high end horn

The brain trust at King wanted to base their new flagship sax on the most famous King sax of all, the Super 20 of Cannonball Adderly fame

A small run of Super 21's (fewer than 10) was made for display at trade shows and to loan to artists for their feedback

Unfortunately, because of the high cost to produce these instruments and some turmoil in the front office, the Super 21 project never went forward

Fortunately, not all of the artist instruments found their way home

This stunning instrument uses a Sterling Silver bell and neck to create full, robust sound

Sterling Silver key touches accent the G#, high F# and chromatic F# keys

What can I say about the engraving...magnificent!

The detailed engraving is on the bell and the low Bb and B keys

This sax has been played but is in excellent condition

It is, of course, made in the USA

Includes a VERY nice Jacob Winter fitted case (one handle is missing)
