I have just become the proud owner of this adolphe sax Eb bari: it appears to be one of the 1928 - 35 models you refer to, i.e. a selmer product with the adolph sax name 
 
the serial number is 331: I can only see it in the engraving - not on the thumb rest or by the lower D key
 
if you have any comments on this horn and the background to similar pieces I would be most interested
 
also - as I live in the UK - do you have any recommendations as to vintage sax techs here with specialist knowledge of these pieces - it needs a good service, with some springs replaced & possibly the odd new pad
 
but the sound is magnificent
