I have a "Big B" alto 327XXX with the elaborate engraving, and it has a
'140' stamped directly under the serial #. I can send pix if you
want...it was a closet horn when I bought it and it's perfect.

It looks EXACTLY like earlier "Big B", but has the '140' stamped on it!! This is still one of my
favorite horns...played it in the local big band for several years...the
intonation is spectacular...
