Do you have any information about the Buescher saxes called "Custom Built"?
I have an uncredibly beautiful baritone sax of that series (if it can be
called a "series"?). I have only seen one more sax like it, also a baritone,
on eBay, but it didn't come near the original condition of mine - the serial
number of that one was just a few steps from the one I have. I have also
seen a couple of Buescher cup wind instruments called "Custom Built". My
baritone has the serial number 274770 and the design is similar to the
series 274xxx you have pictures of, but the engravement isn't the same. I
have taken some pictures with a low budget digital camera and send you one
of them. The sound of it is as expected tremendous, it's built to carry a
big band on its shoulders when asked for, at the same time can play softly
and lyrical - the ideal, optional baritone sax of all times.
