Message Body:

Hi,
well I got back from today's gig just as the sun was going down but I figured I
would again try.. the flash just makes that glitter stuff look like bird
droppings on the horn in the reflections but I did manage to get a few close up
shots of some of that engraving, in fact I took it to one of the old timers
today and he also agreed this was engraved this way before the original lacquer
(the orig. is still the only lacquer finish on it see jpegs 11, 13, 16, 17) and
when looking close at some of the wear area's it is easy to see the engraving
was deeply done not a flaw in the finish...I did seal it up enough to try,
unfortunately I am so used to my own Keilwerth alto that this one does not
impress me but who knows.. don't know if I will keep it or not, I am just a
player not a collector.. we will see..
Regards
Brian
