I  was  looking  at  your  site  and  thought  you  may  enjoy  these  pics.I  recieved  the  horn  as  a  christmas  gift  from  my  ex  father  _ law (  carroll  starka ) who  played  in  both  Woodie  Hermans  Band  &  Stan  Kentons  Band .  It  is  a   Gold  Medal  Mk  1  in  B _ Flat  Tenor.  Carroll  mentioned  that  the  horn  was  custom  made  in  that  the  Bell  was  heavier  made  to  produce  a  more  mellow  tone  rather  than  a  tintier  sound.  He  also  had  an  adapter  placed  on  the  neck  to  accept  a  microphone  pickup. I  would  estimate  that  about  90 %  of  the  laquer  remains . Also  the  Lemaire  name  does  not  appear  on  this  horn.  Any  further  on  this  horn  would  be  greatly  appreciated  especially  concerning  age  and  worth .I  will  send  some  pics  in  another  message  so  your  server  can  download. The  serial  number  is  16716 ,  no  matching  #  on  the  neck.
